Heads up, Nokia Lumia 900 owners on AT&T, because you've got a shiny new update headed your way. Nokia's official U.S. support team just announced that a new Windows Phone 7.8 update is now available for AT&T's Lumia 900. The update brings the AT&T Lumia 900 up to software version 2175.2307.8862.13100 and, according to Nokia's support site, includes Windows Phone 7.8 features like resizable Live Tiles as well as a fix for Live Tiles that refuse to update. Here's the full changelog that's been shared by Nokia:
Latest software release for Nokia Lumia 900 is SW 2175.2307.8862.13100
The availability of this update may depend on your network service provider.
With that changelog, it sounds like this new Lumia 900 update is a combo of the original Windows Phone 7.8 update that began rolling out in January and the Live Tile bug fix update that we heard about in March. That means that this is a pretty beefy update for any AT&T Lumia 900 owners that haven't updated to WP7.8 yet. Nokia points out that moving up to WP7.8 actually includes four separate updates, so Lumia 900 folk that missed out on the January update may want to go make a sandwich or two while waiting for this new update to install.
When it comes time to actually update your Lumia 900, you'll need to fire up the Zune PC app if your on a Windows computer, while the Mac crowd will need to run the Windows Phone Connector app. Then Lumia 900 owners just need to plug their phone and get to updating.
