In week 60 of PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™, the HTC One remained in the first place positions on the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts. A popular Android smartphone, One is available on AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile. Samsung’s latest flagship - the Galaxy S 4 - was added to the Official Smartphone Rankings late in the week. In its first full week on the charts, can it take out the HTC One and move into the first place spot?
MT PLEASANT, SC – For 60 weeks and counting, PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) has become the gold standard for ranking the best smartphones on the market by placing votes from readers and experts alike in respective charts each week. For a sixth week in a row, the HTC One led both the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts on the Official Smartphone Rankings, maintaining its first place position with 477 votes and 60 expert points.
The people kept the Samsung Galaxy Note II in second place with 151 votes, while the Samsung Galaxy S 4 entered the chart in third place with 104 votes. Added late in the week, the Galaxy S 4 is the newest smartphone from Samsung. With current availability on AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile - and coming soon to US Cellular, Verizon, Cricket, and C Spire, the Galaxy S 4 is one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2013.
The Google Nexus 4 fell to fourth place with 74 votes, followed by the BlackBerry Z10 in fifth place with 62 votes. On the Expert’s Choice Chart, the Samsung Galaxy S 4 entered the OSR in second place with 44 points, while the Apple iPhone 5 fell to third place with 31 points. In fourth place, the Samsung Galaxy Note II with 30 points, while the fifth place position was awarded to the Google Nexus 4 with 14 points.
