Sixty-one weeks into PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™, the HTC One dominated the People’s Choice charts with over 400 votes more than its closest competitor. The HTC One also took first place with the Mobile Tech Experts, giving it a clean sweep for the week. Will the HTC One keep the winning streak alive, or will another smartphone be able to defeat it?
MT PLEASANT, SC – For 61 weeks and counting, PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) has become the gold standard for ranking the best smartphones on the market by tallying votes from readers and experts each week. For a seventh week in a row, the HTC One led both the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts of the Official Smartphone Rankings™ with 669 votes and 51 expert points.
Completing its first full week on the OSR, the Samsung Galaxy S 4 moved into second position on the People’s Choice chart with 264 total votes. That means that the Samsung Galaxy Note II fell to third place for the week, finishing with 112 votes. The Google Nexus 4 and BlackBerry Z10 came in fourth and fifth, claiming 57 votes and 40 votes, respectively.
There was no movement in the Expert’s Choice chart this week. Second place was awarded to the Samsung Galaxy S 4 taking second place with 43 points, while the Apple iPhone 5 came in third place with 26 points. The Samsung Galaxy Note II claimed fourth place with 23 points, and the fifth place position was awarded to the Google Nexus 4 with 10 points.
