Nokia and T-Mobile came together to announce the Lumia 521 at MWC 2012 in late February, but at that time, neither company had much to say about the new Windows Phone 8 device's launch or pricing information. Today T-Mobile has shed just a tiny bit more light on the situation, announcing that the Lumia 521 will be available at Walmart, Microsoft Stores and T-Mobile locations starting in May. The 521's exact release date and pricing details will be announced by T-Mobile at a later date.
The Nokia Lumia 521 features a 4-inch 800x480 LCD display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB built-in storage, microSD card slot, 5-megapixel rear camera, 42Mbps HSPA+ connectivity and a 1,430mAh battery. We'll have to wait for an official announcement from T-Mobile before we know how much all of that will cost buyers, but considering the Lumia 521's fairly entry-level spec list, I'm guessing that device's price tag will be fairly easy on the wallet. Stay tuned for more details on the Lumia 521 as we get 'em.
