Sprint customers, your phone selection is about to get substantially more purple. A leaked image sent to Engadget has revealed that the purple version of Samsung's Galaxy S III, which showed up in some leaked images as well as on Samsung's website last month, will officially hit Sprint's shelves on April 12. The royal-tinged device will pack 16GB of built-in storage and a price tag of $99.99 with a two-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate.
Sprint is currently the only major U.S. carrier without an exclusive Galaxy S III color, as AT&T has a Garnet Red model, Verizon has Amber Brown and Sapphire Black and T-Mobile has Titanium Gray. It looks like that'll be changing later this month, though. Now we just have to wait for an official proclamation from Sprint and Samsung, which should be coming sometime in the next week or so if this April 12 launch date holds true.
