How about a glass of freshly-activated AT&T 4G LTE service to go with your breakfast this morning? That's precisely what AT&T customers in several cities are getting, as ol' Big Blue has announced that its LTE coverage has been activated in several new locales across the country. Here's the full rundown of new and expanded LTE coverage that's been revealed so far today:
New markets
Expanded markets
This latest expansion is quite a bit larger than others we've seen recently from AT&T, but hey, I'm not one to complain about seeing more 4G LTE airwaves rolling out across the country. Today's LTE expansion means that AT&T customers that live one of the cities listed above and own a piece of LTE-capable hardware should now be able to browse the web and download apps at increased network speeds, and it also brings LTE to the towns just in time for AT&T's launches of the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S 4. AT&T has said that it expects its LTE network to cover 250 million people by the end of 2013, with that number growing to 300 million people by the end of 2014.
UPDATE: AT&T just announced that its 4G LTE network has also gone live in Beaumont, Texas.
