It looks like Verizon has gotten into an update-y mood, because the big red carrier recently revealed that it's got some new software for the Motorola DROID RAZR HD, DROID RAZR MAXX HD and Pantech Marauder set to roll out soon. The update for the RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD is software version 9.16.6.XT926.Verizon.en.US and includes a handful of various enhancements, including some Google Security Patches, improved Wi-Fi connectivity and camera tweaks that'll offer better touch-to-focus, notifications and low-light performance. Meanwhile, the Pantech Marauder will be receiving an even beefier maintenance update that is software version S910LVWD211F.D1. Packed into this bundle of improvements is Verizon's Remote Diagnostics tool, which allows Verizon support personnel to remotely view a user's device with his or her permission to help with troubleshooting or training. Also included is a combined inbox for multiple email accounts, Google's Chrome browser, SD card encryption and an updated weather widget. Here's the full changelog for the Marauder's update:
DEVICE FEATURES AND ENHANCEMENTS
There's no word when the DROID RAZR HD/MAXX HD's 96MB update or the Marauder's 132.2MB update will begin rolling out, but the new software usually doesn't take long to start flowing after Verizon has posted its official support documents, so owners of these Motorola and Pantech handsets ought to keep an eye out for their respective updates in the coming days. While any update is usually a good update, the new software that'll be heading out to the Marauder looks like it really ought to improve device's user experience thanks to the additions of a conversation view and combined inbox for email and the Chrome browser. How many of you have a DROID RAZR HD/MAXX HD or Marauder that you call your daily driver?
