Time to start this Wednesday off with a mystery! A new Motorola smartphone with the model number XT912A has been leaked this morning by Vietnamese site Tinh te, and the device looks a bit unlike what we've been seeing out of the company as of late. Rather than having angled corners and straight-up "Motorola" branding that were found on devices like the DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX HD, this new model features rounded corners like those found on the Atrix HD as well as a simple "M" logo in the upper left corner of the phone's face.

Spec-wise, this device is said to feature a 4.65-inch 720p AMOLED display, 2GB RAM, a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro or better processor and a 2,200mAh battery. We can also see that it's got on-screen buttons that are just like the ones found on vanilla Android devices. Motorola brought the same type of on-screen buttons to devices like the DROID RAZR HD/MAXX HD with their Jelly Bean updates, so it's not a surprise to see Motorola using the vanilla on-screen keys here.

While it's not clear exactly what this new Motorola phone might be or where it might be headed, Tinh te says that this device is not likely the X-Phone that the company has reportedly been working with Google on. Still, this phone sounds like a decent offering from Moto, even if it's not totally "wow"-worthy. The device's purported XT912A model number suggests that it's some sort of DROID RAZR variant, but we'll just have to wait for more leaks to come out and help us get a better idea of just what this thing is.
