Hey Verizon Wireless customers, are you bummed that your carrier's name wasn't included in last month's list of operators that will offer the HTC One? Don't fret too much, because according to a source speaking to AllThingsD, the One will also eventually launch on Verizon. The tipster claims that the HTC One's debut on Verizon will come "a month or two" after its launch on the other U.S. carriers due to testing. No other details about the device or its launch were mentioned.
So long as this report holds true, this is big news for HTC, as it means that its flagship One smartphone will be available on all four major U.S. operators. That's the same strategy we saw used by Samsung last year with the Galaxy S III, and having the One hit all of the big U.S. carriers will get the device in front of the majority of U.S. wireless customers and will help HTC to better establish its One brand. Obviously it's kind of a bummer that Verizon customers will have to wait an extra month or two for their chance at the One, but hey, at least it's coming, right? Stay tuned and we'll update you with more details on the HTC One's U.S. launch plans for all four major U.S. operators as we get 'em.
