Thanks to a few official teasers and some less-than-official leaks, Samsung's Galaxy S IV has basically dominated the news over the past week or so. That continues tonight, as a new Bloomberg report has surfaced claiming to have some information on the upcoming smartphone's specs. According to the publication's "two people familiar with the product," the Galaxy S IV will come to market with a 5-inch display and 13-megapixel camera. The Galaxy S III features a 4.8-inch screen and 8-megapixel shooter. The tipsters add that Samsung will use different processors in different models of the Galaxy S IV, much like it did with the Galaxy S III, with the U.S. variant featuring a quad-core Qualcomm chip and other versions packing Samsung's own eight-core CPU.

Bloomberg's sources also weighed in on the Galaxy S IV's software features, saying that it will include the ability to pause a video when it detects that a user's eyes have moved away from the screen. That description lines up with a "Smart Pause" feature that was named in a recent screenshot leak from an Android 4.2.1 ROM for the Galaxy S III. Interestingly, the same sources claim that the eye-scrolling functionality previously outed by the New York Times won't make the cut into the Galaxy S IV, but may arrive in future versions of the device. The aforementioned leaked screenshots also included a "Smart Scroll" feature that suggests that Samsung is indeed working on some eye-scrolling functionality.

While none of this is officially official until Samsung makes it so, it wouldn't be a shock to see most of the features named in tonight's report included with the Galaxy S IV. We've already seen 13-megapixel cameras and 5-inch displays in other recent flagship Android phones, and I'm sure Samsung would like to bring it's most important smartphone up to the same level as models from other companies. There was no mention of the Galaxy S IV's screen resolution in tonight's report, but it's expected that Sammy will use a 1080p panel for its new Galaxy S, which is another feature that we're seeing a lot of lately in the Android world.

Along with its feature set, many folks are interested in finding out what the design of the Galaxy S IV will be like. Recent leaks have suggested that Samsung will lean heavily on its Galaxy S III design for the new model, carrying over much of the same looks but making a few small tweaks to improve upon its formula. While that may not be terribly exciting for some, we know that Samsung is proud of its Galaxy S III design work and since there wasn't really anything wrong with the look of the S III, the company may not see much of a need to overhaul its design for the Galaxy S IV. Thankfully we don't have much longer to wait before all is finally revealed, as Samsung will be taking the wraps off of the Galaxy S IV at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
