The Jelly Bean party that kicked off late last week is starting back up again this morning, as Sprint has announced that its version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is now being updated to Android 4.1.1. Sprint's flavor of the 4G LTE-capable Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 originally launched in November 2012 with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in tow. This latest update will bump the Sprint Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 up to Jelly Bean and bring with goodies like Google Now, an update for the Device Self Activation Client, a Qualcomm Wi-Fi Driver fix and a Wi-Fi Connections Optimizer update.
Sprint says that the P500VPBMB3 update is starting its rollout today and that it'll continue to hit devices over the coming weeks. Updates like these are usually pushed out to owners in phases, so don't be too upset if your own Tab 2 10.1 doesn't get the update today. Once the update does hit, expect to find a multitude of new stuff to mess with, as Jelly Bean brings with it Google Now's information cards, expandable notifications and an increase in the overall smoothness of using the Tab 2 10.1 thanks to Google's Project Butter.
