Good news this afternoon for people that love good news and also have Samsung Galaxy S III on Verizon, as Droid-Life and several device owners are reporting that a new software update has begun rolling out over the air. The update will bring the Verizon Galaxy S III from Android 4.1.1 to Android 4.1.2 and also includes a handful of enhancements. There's nothing major to be found here, but VZW S III owners will find improved email syncing and Bluetooth performance, as well as the ability to take photos while on a phone call. Here's the full changelog from the folks at Big Red:
The update is software version JZO54K.I535VRBMB1. Usually these updates go out in phases, but if you're rocking a Galaxy S III and just can't wait to start snapping photos while also talking on the phone, you can check for the new software manually by heading into Settings > About Phone > Software update. Again, this 150.3MB update isn't a huge jump like moving from Android 4.0 to Android 4.1 is, but it's good to see Verizon's S III get bumped up to Android 4.1.2 and gain a few improvements at the same time. Be sure to give us a shout in the comments once the update rolls its way into your neck of the woods!
