The HTC One/HTC M7 has been leaking on a fairly regular basis ever since mid-December, and today that trend continues with another purported image of the unannounced handset. This new shot of the One comes to us from @evleaks and shows a device that is actually fairly reminiscent of the first render that showed up about a month ago, complete with what looks to be speaker grilles on the top and bottom of the phone's face. There's a front-facing camera to the right of the top speaker grille, along with a couple of sensors to the left.
Interestingly, this new image shows a device with just two capacitive keys for Home and Back, rather than the Home, Back and Recent Apps button trio that we typically see on HTC Android phones. An HTC logo is smack dab in the middle of the Back and Home keys, replacing the aforementioned Recent Apps button. The placement of this HTC logo could be the reason why the Home key is on the far right of the button layout rather than in the middle, which is where we usually see it on other Android products.
This leak also shows what appears to be a home screen for HTC's new Sense 5 overlay. We can see a new, cleaner-looking weather widget that has been shown in a couple of previous One/M7 leaks, along with some new, flatter icons for the Phone, Messaging, Browser and Camera apps.
The HTC One/M7 is rumored to be the Taiwanese firm's new flagship Android smartphone, with reports claiming that it'll feature a 4.7-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and Android Jelly Bean beneath HTC's Sense 5 skin. It's also been said that HTC could be prepping some new Ultrapixel tech for the One's camera that will feature three 4.3-megapixel sensor layers. Thankfully, it won't be long before all of the leaks and rumors come to an end, as HTC is expected to officially unveil the One at an event on Feb. 19.
