In week 49 of PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™, Samsung Galaxy Note II was once again the number one smartphone on both the People's Choice Chart and Mobile Tech Experts' Chart. After 11 consecutive weeks, it appears to be the favorite smartphone. Will it retain the crown once new devices launch from HTC, LG, and Motorola?
MT PLEASANT, SC – For 49 weeks and counting, PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) has become the gold standard for ranking the market's greatest smartphones by placing votes from readers and experts alike in respective charts each week. Last week, the Samsung Galaxy Note II retained the first place spot on both the People's Choice Chart and Mobile Tech Experts' Chart. It led by a tight margin of 3 points for the experts and it received almost twice the votes as the second place smartphone on the people's chart.
For a second week in a row, the Nokia Lumia 920 and Samsung Galaxy S III tied for second place on the People’s Choice Chart with 117 votes each. The Google Nexus 4 followed with 97 votes, and then the HTC DROID DNA rounded out the top five with 47 votes. On the Mobile Tech Experts' Chart, the Apple iPhone 5 retained its second place spot, garnering 42 votes and landing within earshot of the Galaxy Note II’s 45 point total. With 35 points, the Samsung Galaxy S III held onto third place, followed by the Google Nexus 4 with 27 points. In fifth place with 21 points, the HTC DROID DNA.
