The spec sheet of the Galaxy S II Plus is fairly similar to that of the OG Galaxy S II, with the new model gaining NFC and the support for 64GB microSD cards, but losing a bit of built-in storage. The biggest change between the two handsets is with the software, as the Galaxy S II Plus ships with Android 4.1.2 preinstalled. The original Galaxy S II came to market with Android 2.3 and is currently sitting on Android 4.0, though an update to Android 4.1 is coming.
While the Galaxy S II Plus's specs obviously won't stand up to Samsung's current flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II, this updated version of the Galaxy S II could be a worthwhile option for folks looking for a more affordable handset, especially those that were considering picking up the original S II.
