ZTE is keeping the CES 2013 train rolling this afternoon with the official introduction of the Grand S. We've already gotten a couple of early peeks at the Grand S in recent weeks, but today the new Android 4.1 smartphone got its proper debut during ZTE's press event. As expected, the Grand S touts a 5-inch 1080p display on its face along with a 2-megapixel shooter, and around back a 13-megapixel camera can be found. Inside the Grand S's 6.9mm thick body lives the 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor that powers the whole show as well as 2GB RAM, 16GB storage (with microSD slot for added memory) and 4G LTE support.
We're starting to see quite a few Android handsets with 5-inch 1080p screens pop up, including the Grand S, DROID DNA, Xperia Z/ZL and Oppo's Find 5. Some of the ways that ZTE appears to have attempted to make the Grand S are its thin body and 13-megapixel shooter, and while we'll have to make a final judgment on the device until we get it in our mitts and give it the once-over, those specs make the Grand S look nice on paper. ZTE says that the Grand S will launch in China sometime in the first quarter, but so far there's no word yet on any U.S.-specific launch plans. Do you think you'd be interested in picking up a Grand S to call your own if it does hit American soil?
