Big phone/tablet hybrid devices, lovingly referred to by many as "phablets," have become increasingly popular as of late, and a new leaked image has shown that another company may soon give this whole phablet thing a try. A shot posted by @evleaks on Unwired View has revealed the ZTE P945, an Android smartphone that's said to feature a 5.7-inch 720p display. Also said to be included with this giganto-phone is a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 8-megapixel rear and 1-megapixel front cameras and a 3,000mAh battery. The P945's OS of choice is expected to be Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich "or above."
As you could probably tell by that tattoo stamped on the P945's lower back, this device is slated to hit Chinese carrier China Mobile, with a launch rumored for late Q1/early Q2. It's not yet clear if or when the P945 will be hitting other countries. Considering how well some large handsets have been selling, though, it wouldn't be a surprise if ZTE wanted to see how if the P945 could replicate that success by hitting other markets.
