It went uncontested all month long, never straying from the #1 position. For the time being, the Samsung Galaxy Note II shows no signs of slowing down or surrendering its top spot in the charts. MT PLEASANT, SC – PhoneDog Media is proud to announce the monthly winners for December 2012 in the Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR), where mobile experts and site readers a like come together and vote for their favorite phones. Each week, those votes are tallied in respective charts and the best smartphones are ranked against one another.
For the month of December, the Samsung Galaxy Note II proved it was a force to be reckoned with. It held first place in the People's Choice Chart and Mobile Tech Expert's Chart for each week throughout the month. It garnered 173 total expert points, and in the People's Choice Chart, it bested the Nokia Lumia 920 in second by 485 total votes for the month.
Following in second in the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart was the Apple iPhone 5, which mustered 138 total expert points for the month, or 35 fewer points than the Samsung Galaxy Note II. In third for the experts was the HTC DROID DNA with 96 total points, booting the Samsung Galaxy S III from the top three. For the People's Choice Chart, the Nokia Lumia 920 flip-flopped with the Samsung Galaxy S III, beating it by a margin of 327 votes and taking the #2 spot for the month of December.
