Rely on iOS 6's Do Not Disturb mode to get a good night's rest? If so, you may have to get used to manually turning it on and off when you go to bed and wake up for the next few days. An Apple support page has revealed that the Do Not Disturb bug that began popping up yesterday will fix itself, but that that'll only happen after Jan. 7. Until then, Apple says that users should simply turn off the scheduling feature of Do Not Disturb and switch it on and off as necessary instead.
Some users awoke yesterday morning to find that the Do Not Disturb mode on their iOS device of choice had failed to turn off at the time that they had scheduled, potentially resulting in them missing calls and messages. Luckily, the bug didn't affect everyone, and those users that were hit didn't have their alarms messed with since Do Not Disturb only deals with blocking incoming notifications. It's kind of strange that Apple is telling users that they'll just have to wait until after Jan. 7 for the problem to resolve itself, but at least manually switching Do Not Disturb on and off is fairly simple to do. Have any of you been hit by this bug?
