T-Mobile may not officially offer the iPhone 5, but that apparently isn't stopping it from stocking accessories for Apple's new smartphone. According to a document leaked to TmoNews, some iPhone 5 Body Glove cases are making their way to at least some T-Mobile stores, following the arrival of T-Mobile nano-SIM cards for the iPhone 5 back in October. The site has also heard that T-Mobile has activated around 200,000 iPhones on its network in the past 60 days.
This isn't the first time that we've seen T-Mobile cater to iPhone users on its network. The magenta operator began selling 30-pin connector cables for Apple's devices back in 2010, and earlier this year it started offering in-store support to its iPhone-owning customers. T-Mo has also been refarming its 1900MHz spectrum to be used for HSPA+ service that can be accessed by unlocked handsets like the iPhone. The arrival of iPhone 5 cases in T-Mobile stores is another step in Magenta becoming more accommodating of iPhone users, which I'm sure helps to make T-Mo a more attractive option to unlocked iPhone owners looking for a new home. Are you or anyone you know currently using an iPhone on T-Mobile?
