Just a hair over a month after we first spied the Windows Phone 8-powered Huawei Ascend W1 in some leaked renders, the device has now been photographed in the wild, and it's even wearing a new color. After first being shown with a cyan body, a white Ascend W1 has now appeared in some images that were shared by WPCentral before being removed from their original Twitter posts. The front of this white Ascend W1 is also white, making for an all-white device rather than a two-tone, white-rear-and-black-front look that we sometimes see with white phones. Also shown in the photos is the cyan Ascend W1 that has previously leaked out.
The Ascend W1 features a design that's reminiscent of HTC, including corners that are similar to the 8X's and a rear camera housing that looks like the One X's. When it comes to specs, the W1 is rumored to include a 4-inch WVGA display, 5-megapixel rear and VGA front shooters, 2,000mAh battery and NFC capabilities. While all of that adds up to make a device that may not be terribly high-end, the W1 does feature a nice-looking design for what could be a fairly affordable handset. There's no word on when or if we'll see the W1 make its way stateside, but we'll give you a shout if we hear anything about a U.S. release.
