Bad news on this Sunday evening for anyone hoping to do some iMessaging or FaceTime calling, as both Apple services appear to be having some issues. Apple's iCloud support page has confirmed that both iMessage and FaceTime are having problems for "some" users. Unfortunately for any iOS users that are trying to use either service, there's no ETA on when iMessage or FaceTime will return, with Apple simply saying that things will return to normal as soon as possible.
Apple's iMessage service is definitely acting wonky tonight, as I can confirm that iMessage is out for myself and a few others. iMessage has actually been having quite a few problems as of late, with the service going down a couple of times at the end of October. While iPhone owners can fall back to text messages for their non-voice communication needs, owners of Wi-Fi-only iOS devices don't have that option, so they'll need to either switch over to another service or wait for iMessage to return to normal. We'll give you a shout once that happens. Are iMessage and FaceTime out for you, iOS folk?
UPDATE: Apple's iCloud support page now says that normal service has been restored to both iMessage and FaceTime, and both are indeed working smoothly for me. How are things on your end?
