Amazon first announced the 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD in early September, and at the time the company said that it would begin shipping on November 20. It looks like Amazon has beaten its own estimate, though, as it's revealed that the 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD is shipping out today. The device will also be available at Best Buy starting tomorrow, and it'll hit other retailers like Staples and Radio Shack in the following weeks, which is good news since any 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD orders placed from Amazon today aren't expected to ship until December 3. The 4G-enabled model of the 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD will begin shipping out on November 20.
