Back in September, a Samsung executive predicted that the Galaxy Note II would double the sales of the original model, which has surpassed sales of 10 million units. Now Samsung has announced that its latest phone/tablet hybrid is on its way to doing just that, revealing that sales of the Galaxy Note II have reached 3 million since its international debut a little over a month ago. The company says that the Galaxy Note II is selling at more than three times the rate of its predecessor.

The Samsung Galaxy Note II was first introduced at the end of August and has already launched in several international markets and on U.S. Cellular, T-Mobile and Sprint here in the U.S. Releases on AT&T and Verizon are expected in November, both of which ought to give Galaxy Note II sales a nice boost. Exactly when sales of the Note II will surpass the original Note is still a mystery, but with more launches and the holidays coming soon, it may not be long before the Note II speeds past the 10 million units sold mark.
