Looks like HTC One S owners on T-Mobile are going to be getting a little surprise today to help get over the mid-week hump. T-Mobile has announced in its support forums that the One S is receiving a software update starting today, September 26. The update will bring the One S to software version 2.35.531.7 710RD, and while T-Mobile's changelog says that the device will leave users at Android 4.0.3, folks that've already gotten hold of the update say that it bumped them up to Android 4.0.4 and Sense 4.1. Here's T-Mobile's full changelog for the update:

One S owners are also reporting that this update includes the option to change how the phone's Recent Apps button functions, allowing users to do things like press the button to display recently-used apps or hold it to show a menu, similar to the One X update that rolled out last month. T-Mobile says that this new One S update weighs in at 140MB and will be rolling out over the air between now and October 31. Anyone that doesn't feel like waiting for the update to make its way to their neck of the woods can check for it manually by going into Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check now on their device. So, who's already updated their One S?
