Intel and Motorola announced back in January that they were entering into a "multi-year, multi-device strategic partnership," and it looks like we could see some of the results of that relationship soon. Android Central received an invitation from the two companies for a September 18 event with both their names attached, inviting the reader to let them "take you to the edge." The gathering will be held in London.
While there aren't many official details on any Motorola-made, Intel-powered smartphones, the rumor mill has (unsurprisingly) given up some information on a device that we could see from the two companies at some point. Some renders of a Motorola handset leaked out in February along with a claim that the phone had Intel inside and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Whether this event is for that device or something else entirely remains to be seen, but the good news is that we won't be waiting long, as this shindig is less than a month out. You'd better buckle up, because September is getting to be a jam-packed month.
