Verizon today announced that it'll soon be adding the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 to its ranks of 4G LTE-enabled tablets. The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 will be available for purchase on August 17 in Verizon stores and from the carrier's website, and the device will feature a price tag of $349.99. Along with LTE connectivity, the Tab 2 7.0 features a 7-inch 1024x600 display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 3.2-megapixel rear and VGA front cameras and 8GB of internal storage. It also comes preloaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Verizon has carried several cellular-capable Galaxy Tabs in the past, including the original 7-inch model as well as the Tab 7.7 and Tab 10.1. The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 looks to continue that trend, and it's good to see the carrier adding another 7-inch slate to its lineup, especially since it serves as a replacement to the original Galaxy Tab (which is still available on Verizon's website). To help pass the time until the LTE Tab 2 7.0 is available from Verizon on Friday, you can find the big red operator's full announcement of the device below.
