Just a few days after a rumor claimed that Nokia may be planning to announce new Windows Phone 8 devices in early September, a new report says that HTC could be planning a similar announcement later in the month. According to Chinese site WPDang, HTC will introduce its first Windows Phone 8 products in the third week of September. Previous rumors claimed that HTC is busy prepping a trio of Windows Phone 8 handsets, including the Rio and Zenith, the latter of which is thought to feature a 4.7-inch 720p Super LCD 2 display as well as a quad-core processor.
With Windows Phone 8 due sometime in the fall and HTC confirmed to be one of the manufacturers that'll be offering new devices at launch, an announcement of at least some of that hardware in the back half of September certainly seems plausible. Of course, exactly when these products will launch and which carriers they'll arrive on are still unknown, but hey, at least now we've got an idea of when we get a peek at some of HTC's shiny new Windows Phone 8 handsets. Any of you looking forward to seeing what HTC has in store for the next major version of Windows Phone?
