Rumors of a 10-inch BlackBerry PlayBook have been floating around for a while now, but today some photos of the larger RIM tablet have made their way online. The images first popped up on Vietnamese site Tinhte, and they show a BlackBerry-branded slate that appears a tad larger than the standard 7-inch PlayBook (shocker) as well as an altered aspect ratio. The 10-inch PlayBook is also said to feature a SIM slot, meaning that it'll likely be capable of cellular connectivity.
While there's no information in this latest report concerning a possible release date for the 10-inch PlayBook, a leaked roadmap that surfaced earlier in July claimed that the device may be due in Q3 2013. That's certainly still a ways off, but with the first BlackBerry 10-powered devices still in the works, I wouldn't be surprised if RIM would rather get those out the door before releasing a larger PlayBook. The question is, how many folks are interested in a 10-inch tablet from RIM? Do any of you think you'd check out such a device? If you'd like help deciding, you can find more images of the 10-inch PlayBook at the Tinhte link below.
