But just how well is the Galaxy S III selling now that its on store shelves? According to a Samsung executive, it's doing pretty well for itself. Shin Jong-kyun, the president of Samsung's mobile communication division, said today that the Galaxy S III has now sold over 10 million units. An exact sales figure wasn't provided, and it's not yet clear whether J.K. Shin was referring to the number of Galaxy S IIIs that've been shipped to merchants or actual sales.

The Galaxy S III officially launched in 28 countries at the end of May, meaning that it's hit the 10 million mark in under two months. Samsung recently reported strong sales for its previous Galaxy S models, but if the Galaxy S III keeps up a strong pace, it shouldn't have a problem surpassing its predecessors.
