Looks like we can add a few HTC-made handsets to the list of products that'll be making the Jelly Bean jump. In a statement released today, HTC has confirmed that the One S, One X and One XL will all be update to Android 4.1. HTC didn't provide any sort of timeframe as to when those updates might arrive. According to Engadget, though, the AT&T and T-Mobile versions of the One X and One S will be receiving the update. HTC's full statement is as follows:
"We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google's latest version of Android. At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean."
Considering that the One S, One X and One XL are currently sitting pretty atop the pile of HTC's high-end devices, it's not much of a surprise to learn that they'll be bumped up to Android 4.1. Still, it's nice to get confirmation straight from the manufacturer's mouth. Now we just have to wait for the updates to, you know, actually roll out. Stay tuned.
