When HTC originally unveiled the One S at Mobile World Congress in February, the handset was shown in both a gray version as well as micro arc oxidized black model. The gray version has been available on T-Mobile here in the U.S. since April. However, while the black model was at one point rumored to be coming to T-Mobile in June, we've never gotten any official word from T-Mo about it. Today we've got a bit of good news and a bit of bad news for the Magenta folks out there that've been interested in this black One S. The good news is that our pals at TmoNews have procured photos of the device in the wild, complete with T-Mobile branding and a red camera accent. The box for the device is also T-Mobile-branded.
So what's the bad news? Unfortunately for any T-Mobile customers that are interested in this black One S, TmoNews hasn't received any information that indicates that it'll actually be sold by T-Mobile. The device is currently being given out to T-Mobile store representatives that meet certain sales goals for HTC products. Of course, there's always a chance that it could still be released to the public, but those of you that've been waiting patiently for the black One S may want to settle for the gray model or try to sweet-talk a T-Mobile rep. You can check out a shot of the One S's backside below, and there are a couple more photos available over at TmoNews.
