It's certainly been a while since we've seen any new HTC tablets come to market, but if a new benchmark is to be believed, the Taiwanese firm may be cooking something up right now. A benchmark for a device referred to as the "Vertex" has popped up over on NenaMark with a purported spec sheet that includes a 1.3GHz Tegra 3 processor and Android 4.0.3. Also listed is a display with a resolution of 1280x752, though it's suggested that the actual resolution will be 1280x800, with some of the pixels being used for navigation keys.

The Vertex isn't the only unannounced HTC product to pop up in a recent benchmark test. A GLBenchmark results page for a device known as the "evitareul" has been discovered, and like the Vertex, the evitareul reportedly features a Tegra 3 processor. However, the evitareul's Tegra 3 is said to be clocked at 1.7GHz. Other features of the evitareul listed by the results are a 720p display, the model number PM63100, Android 4.0.4 and support for AT&T, possibly including LTE. The product's codename of "evitareul" is thought to be read as Evitare UL, which some think could mean that it's a successor to the One XL and the AT&T One X, which featured the codename "Evita."

While both of these mystery devices are still unconfirmed at this point, they sound like products than Android fans may want to keep in the back of their minds. The rumored Vertex tablet is especially interesting since the last HTC slate that hit the market was the Jetstream in September 2011, a slab whose performance in the market wasn't exactly stellar. There's no word yet on when the Vertex or the evitareul might actually be launching, but you can bet that we'll be keeping an eye out for more information on both of 'em. Stay tuned.
