Verizon today added a new member to its BlackBerry family of devices, the Curve 9310. Launching online on July 12 and at Verizon stores in the coming weeks, the BlackBerry Curve 9310 will be priced at $49.99 with a two-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate. Customers picking up the Curve 9310 will need to sign up for a Share Everything plan, which starts at $80 per month for unlimited talk and text as well as 300MB of data.
As far as specs go, the BlackBerry Curve 9310 features a 3.2-megapixel camera, microSD card slot with support for cards up to 32GB in size, a dedicated BlackBerry Messenger key and the BlackBerry 7.1 OS. Verizon is currently offering the BlackBerry Bold 9930 for $229.99 on contract (and the Curve 9370 for $99.99 with an agreement), so the Curve 9310 looks like it could be an option for folks in the market for a new BlackBerry that'll be easy on their wallet. The BlackBerry Curve 9310 is a slim and easy-to-use smartphone ready to help customers make the move from a basic phone to a smartphone. It includes all the core BlackBerry messaging and social-centric applications that let customers easily connect to the people and things that matter most to them. The new BlackBerry Curve 9310 smartphone will be available online at www.verizonwireless.com starting July 12 and will be in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores in the coming weeks for $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement. Customers receive the rebate in the form of a debit card; upon receipt, customers may use the card as cash anywhere debit cards are accepted.
