Take note, Verizon customers: A new Samsung handset has passed through the FCC and looks to be bound for Big Red's shelves. The device features the model number SCH-I200 and includes support for CDMA/EV-DO as well as LTE Band 13, which happens to be Verizon's preferred flavor of 4G LTE. The SCH-I200's FCC listing doesn't reveal much else about the device, but according to a benchmark previously dug up by Pocketnow that purportedly belongs to the I200, the phone may be codenamed "Jasper" and could feature a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, an 800x480 screen resolution and Android 4.0.

We'll have to wait for the SCH-I200 to be made official before we get its full spec rundown, but so far the device sounds like a bit of a mixed bag. While the potential inclusion of a dual-core S4 chip, Ice Cream Sandwich and LTE are all nice to see, the I200's 800x480 display resolution is a bit lower than the 720p screens that folks are becoming accustomed to seeing on higher-end phones. There's no word yet on when the SCH-I200 might be introduced by Samsung and Verizon, but now that it's passed through the FCC, it's at least one step closer to that debut.
