It's now June 21, and the Samsung Galaxy S III is now available from T-Mobile's website and in some stores, just like the carrier said it would be. That means that we finally have official confirmation of the device's pricing, which we got wind of earlier this week thanks to a leaked T-Mobile memo. Magenta customers interested in the 16GB Galaxy S III can expect to pony up $279.99 after a two-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate with a Classic plan or a down payment of $229.99 with 20 monthly $20 Equipment Installment Plan payments with a Value plan. Meanwhile, the 32GB model is priced at $329.99 after contract and $50 mail-in rebate on a Classic plan or a down payment of $279.99 with a $20 monthly EIP payment. Contract-averse T-Mobile subscribers can expect to pay $629.99 for the 16GB Galaxy S III without any contract or $679.99 for the more capacious 32GB flavor.
T-Mobile's pricing for the Galaxy S III is a tad higher than what other U.S. carriers are asking for their models, though customers signing up for a Value plan will be paying a bit less upfront for Samsung's new handset than the folks that opt for a Classic plan. Still, it's good to see that Galaxy S III Day has finally arrived for T-Mobile. As a reminder, a recently-leaked memo showed that the T-Mobile GSIII would only be available online and in select markets on June 21, with stores in the remaining markets expected to receive inventory next week. So now that the day is finally here, how many of you T-Mobile users have already plunked down the cash for a Galaxy S III or are planning to do so soon?
