When Apple took the wraps off of iOS 5 last year, one of the features that the company touted was Twitter integration, which allowed the user to sign in with Twitter credentials once and then send tweets from several system apps, including Photos and Safari. Now a new report has claimed that we can expect integration with another social network to make the cut into iOS 6. According to TechCrunch, Facebook integration will be built into iOS 6, which is said to be codenamed "Sundance." The site says that the details of how sharing items will work are still being worked out due to the different levels of permissions related to posting things on Facebook.

This isn't the first time that Facebook integration for iOS has been rumored, as an unreleased version of iOS 4 was shown in a leaked video (the second on that page) with what appeared integration with Facebook. Considering that Facebook reports that it had over 500 million mobile monthly active users as of late April, I'd say that finally integrating the social network makes sense. As with all Apple rumors, though, nothing is official until Tim Cook and his crew make it so, which is expected to happen at WWDC later this month. We already know that Taylor wants more than just Facebook integration in iOS 6, but how many of you would be excited to see the social network that Zuckerberg built integrated into the next major version of iOS?
