Earlier today in a report about Apple possibly working on its own Maps application for iOS 6, we mentioned that many expect the Cupertino firm to offer a peek at the next major version of iOS at WWDC next month. Now some information has popped up that makes an iOS 6 preview next month seem even more likely. Today a beta version of Apple's iCloud website was discovered, and buried within the code for the site are references to an iOS 6 beta, like one that says "To use beta.icloud.com, first sign into iCloud with the iOS 6 beta."
As some iCloud users may have noticed in the image above, the beta iCloud site also contains a couple of icons that aren't present in the plain ol' iCloud site. Off to the right site, there are icons for Notes and Reminders, suggesting that the browser-based version of iCloud will soon gain the ability to sync information with those two apps like is currently possible on iOS devices.
While we won't know what Tim Cook and Co. have up their sleeves for WWDC until they take the stage next month, it's increasingly looking like iOS 6 could be part of the show. The question is, besides a new Maps app, what else might Apple have planned for the upcoming iOS revision? There are several possibilities, and thankfully we won't have to wait long to begin to find out at least some of what Apple has packed into iOS 6 (as long as it does indeed get shown off next month, that is.)
