Is Huawei's 7-inch MediaPad a part of your gadget arsenal? Then you'll want to grab that puppy and mosey on over to Huawei's website, as the MediaPad's upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich is now available for download from Huawei's website. Yep, this update is one that you'll have to download directly from Huawei to install, but for your effort you'll receive what looks to be a fairly stock build of Android 4.0 and all of the goodies that come with it, including access to ICS-only apps like the Chrome Beta browser.
While it's kind of a bummer that the MediaPad's bump to Android 4.0 has to be downloaded using a computer rather than using the over the air update method, I'm sure many owners of the 7-inch slate will just be happy to finally have Google's latest dessert on their device. The upgrade, which weighs in at 328.96MB, is available right here and includes instructions on how to get ICS onto your MediaPad. Get to downloading! Oh, and you owners of the the T-Mobile SpringBoard, well, your wait for ICS continues. Just keep doing what you're doing and we'll let you know when it's your turn to take part in the upgrade to Android 4.0.
