We've already seen T-Mobile team up with HTC and LG in the creation of its myTouch line of Android handsets, and now it looks like Huawei may be the next to join the fold. A pair of renders has been sent to the folks at Pocketnow showing two new myTouch-branded devices that look fairly similar save for the fact that one has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Indeed, the two phones are said to be identical except for that physical 'board, featuring specs like displays with a resolution of 800x480 and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The models numbers for the pair are reportedly U8680 and U8730.
T-Mobile has released a number of myTouch-branded devices ever since the arrival of the myTouch 3G back in 2009, so it's not a surprise to learn that the folks at Magenta are planning to keep the brand alive with two new entries. It is kind of interesting to see that T-Mo may be opting to go with a new manufacturer for the next myTouch devices, but hey, it'll be fun to check out the Huawei-made myTouches and see how they compare to last year's LG myTouch and myTouch Q. The good news is that we may not have long to wait before we can do just that, as Pocketnow claims that these two Huawei myTouch phones are expected to come in late spring, possibly in late May, with some wallet-friendly price tags in tow.
