Looks like a nice mid-weekend surprise has surfaced for Verizon Galaxy Nexus owners. The story goes that one Galaxy Nexus owner over in the Android Central forums recently got an unexpected notification on his handset alerting him that an update to Android 4.0.4 was available to download. After working with some other forumgoers, the update has now been made available to all Verizon Galaxy Nexus users that aren't afraid to get their hands a little dirty by tweaking their device and installing a custom ROM. There's no official changelog for the update, which is build IMM30B, but so far users that have loaded it up have reported faster 3G/4G switching, a new power menu and a number of speed enhancements.
