Time to add another name to the "Mysterious Unannounced Products" list. It's been discovered that Sony/Sony Ericsson has filed for the trademark to the name "Xperia Sola," with the company reserving the name both here in the U.S. as well as over in Europe. The filing doesn't offer up much in the way of information about exactly what the Xperia Sola may be (shocker!), but we do know that it was filed on January 30th and is listed as covering both mobile phones and accessories.
So that's about all we know about the Xperia Sola so far. Of course, it's worth noting that just because a company files for a trademark doesn't mean that we'll ever see a product come to market under that name, but at least now we've got a name to keep an eye out for while cruising around the web in the Dogmobile in search of info on upcoming handsets. Got any thoughts about what the Xperia Sola might be, or just a suggestion about what kind of device you'd like to see the name attached to?
