The T-Mobile leaks continue! Hot on the heels of a leaked document showing a handful of handsets that'll soon be hitting end-of-life status, a new image sent to our buddies at TmoNews shows that T-Mobile is planning to introduce some changes to its domestic data roaming policy. Starting April 5th, T-Mobile will begin capping the amount of data that its customers can use while roaming onto a partner's network. T-Mobile notes that when you hit the domestic data roaming ceiling, your roaming data will simply be cut off until your next billing cycle. Of course, if you come back onto T-Mo's own network or hop onto a Wi-Fi connection, the data juices will begin flowing once again. So how much roaming data will you get? That depends on the size of your full speed data bucket:
It's also worth noting that there are a few exemptions to the cap, which includes things like business and government accounts. T-Mobile explains the reasoning behind the new roaming data caps by saying that they'll help it "to continue providing competitive pricing options in the industry." The good news is that T-Mobile will shoot you a text message when you hit 80 percent and 100 percent of your domestic roaming data cap, so you'll know when you're about to be cut off. And hey, at least you've still got a couple of months before the caps take effect, giving you plenty of time to prepare for their arrival on April 5th.
