It's a tablet, it's a phone and it'll be making its way to Mobile World Congress next month. ASUS has sent out invites to its event at MWC next month, and front and center on the invite is the Padfone, seemingly confirming rumors that the device will be shown off at the gathering in Barcelona in February.

ASUS originally outed the Padfone back at the tail end of May 2011, revealing the 4.3-inch smartphone/10.1-inch tablet combo after it starred in a few leaks and rumors. The company hasn't said much about the Padfone since then, but ASUS chairman Jonney Shih mentioned late in October that the device will be coming with Ice Cream Sandwich in tow, so as long as that holds true, that's something for anyone interested in the Padfone to look forward to.
