When Verizon outed the purple Motorola DROID RAZR at CES, it opted to only share some of the device's availability details, saying that it'd be priced at $199.99 on contract but not revealing any kind of release information outside of a vague "in the coming weeks" timeframe. Today we've got a concrete date to mark the purple DROID RAZR down for, though, as Verizon has announced that it'll be available online and in stores on January 23rd. Verizon also announced that the black DROID RAZR is now available with 16GB of storage for $199.99, while the 16GB white RAZR will be joining its purple brother on the 23rd.
All three of these new 16GB DROID RAZRs feature the same specs as the original 32GB model that launched in November, but Verizon has slashed $100 off of the OG DROID RAZR's price tag by axing its preinstalled 16GB microSD card, leaving the new versions with 16GB of internal storage. So to recap, you've got the black 16GB RAZR available today for $200 and the white and purple variants coming next Monday. Anyone thinking about buying a 16GB RAZR or do you have your eyes on the DROID RAZR MAXX and its capacious battery?
