MetroPCS customers should be pretty pleased with their carrier today, as it has taken the wraps off of a pair of new 4G LTE-capable Android smartphones. First up is the Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G, which will be hitting MetroPCS stores in the coming weeks for $199.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. For that $200, you're getting a handset with a 3.5-inch display, 1GHz processor, 3-megapixel camera with LED flash, 1.3-megapixel shooter around front, 4G LTE connectivity, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The second handset unveiled by MetroPCS today is the LG Connect 4G. This handset will be hitting Metro stores within the next month, although no pricing information has been revealed just yet. The Connect 4G's spec sheet includes features like a 4-inch NOVA display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5-megapixel camera, 720p video capture, front-facing camera, 4G LTE, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Both the Connect 4G and Galaxy Attain 4G are compatible with Metro's $50 and $60 4G LTE rate plans, the latter of which includes access to Rhapsody Unlimited Music streaming service or the MetroSTUDIO Video on Demand service.
It's good to see MetroPCS continue to flesh out its lineup of Android-powered handsets, especially considering that both of these new models pack in LTE support, allowing owners to hop onto Metro's 4G network where it's available.
