Ready for another round of "Good News, Bad News" to kick off your Thursday morning? First up, the good news: Nokia has officially announced when it'll begin rolling out the Symbian Belle update to existing devices like the N8, E7, and C7. That's great! Next is the bad news: The update push won't begin until sometime early next year. In a statement to the folks at All About Symbian, Nokia confirmed that it'll make Belle available to devices like the N8, E7, X7, C6-01, C7, Oro, E6, and Nokia 500 in early 2012, stopping short of offering up a more precise window of time. The full statement from straight from Nokia:

"Nokia Belle is the latest Symbian software release with all-new user interface, improved user experience, and dozens of improved and new features. We have already shipped Nokia 603, 700 and 701 with Belle software this year, and have received great feedback on the new user experience.

We will make Nokia Belle available to consumers globally by rolling out the Belle software for the existing Nokia range of smartphones such as N8, E7, X7, C6-01, C7, Oro, E6, and Nokia 500 in early 2012. With that, millions of consumers around the world will get a totally fresh experience on their Symbian smartphone."

Nokia first introduced Symbian Belle waaay back in August and, though the software is available on the Nokia 700 and 701 (it came preloaded), we've yet to see Belle make her way to any other handsets. It's kind of a bummer that Belle-bound device owners don't know whether the update will be helping them ring in the new year next month or if they'll have to wait until spring rolls around for the latest and greatest version of Symbian, but I suppose at least they know that it's coming.
