Well, this is interesting. When the Motorola DROID 4 first emerged at the tail end of last month, many thought that the 4G LTE slider might still be several months off since its predecessor, the DROID 3, has only been available since July. However, it turns out that the DROID 4 may be much closer than anyone could've thought. A new image leaked to the folks at Droid-Life shows that the DROID 4 is currently slated to launch on Thursday, December 8th, the same date that the Galaxy Nexus is rumored to be arriving.
It seems kind of crazy to think that Motorola and Verizon would launch the DROID 4 just 5 months after the DROID 3 and less than a month after the DROID RAZR. With the emergence of this latest image as well as the one from earlier in November showing the D4 in Verizon's systems, though, it looks like that's exactly what might happen. For those that don't remember, the DROID 4 is rumored to be packing a 4-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display, 1080p video capture, front-facing camera, five-row backlit keyboard, 4G LTE connectivity, and Android 2.3.5. So what do you all make of this news? Do you think Verizon's cramming too many phones into the last couple of months of 2011? Or does the thought of getting your hands on this LTE slider so soon have you giddy with excitement?
