The last time that we saw U.S. Cellular introduce a new Android-powered smartphone, we got the entry-level HTC Wildfire S. Today the carrier took the wraps off of another affordable Android, but this time we're getting a Samsung-made handset. Dubbed the Samsung Repp, this new device is packing a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen, 800 MHz processor, 3-megapixel camera, 2GB microSD card preinstalled, 1,500mAh battery, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Expect the Repp to launch soon for the low cost of free after $100 mail-in rebate and two-year contract.

Alongside the Repp, U.S. Cellular also announced its new trade-in program, which allows customers to sell a phone or tablet from any carrier for up to $150. That money can then be put toward whatever you see fit, including a brand new handset. Interested customers can start the trade-in process right here.

Like the Wildfire S before it, the Samsung Repp may not boast specs that are going to melt your face off, but it's always good to see a carrier building out its smartphone lineup and offer handsets that everyone can afford.
