HTC is holding a Beats-centric event later today, which our fearless leader Aaron Baker will be attending, and many expect the Rezound (née Vigor) to be the star of the show. As usually seems to be the case with gatherings like the one being held today, though, the Rezound has leaked out ahead of the start of the shindig. The folks over at Pocketnow have gotten their hands on official-looking press renders of the Rezound, showcasing the handset's red accents, Beats Audio support, and 4G LTE connectivity. Need more evidence that the Rezound is set to be unveiled later today? We submit to you the image you see below, which showcases the source code for www.verizonwireless.com/rezound. The page itself is blank, but the code confirms the phone's name (again) and describes it as a "sleek, sophisticated cell phone" that'll help you to "stay connected with those important to you."
There's no doubt that the Rezound will be facing some stiff competition in Verizon's lineup this holiday season, but it's got a few unique features that should help attract users to its portion of Big Red's stores, including a 4.3-inch 720p display and Beats Audio. We'll be bringing you all of the official details of the Rezound as we get them from HTC's event later today. As I mentioned before, Aaron will also be in-person at the NYC gathering and will be liveblogging the whole thing, so be sure to check back for that. Who knows? Maybe the event will put him in the mood to drop some beats of his own for us.
